What is the Screen Actors Guild? The Screen Actors Guild is an American labor Union representing r 200,000 film and television principal performers and background performers worldwide. All actors and actresses need to become a part of the SAG in order for you to have some for of representation in the movie business. This organization is very helpful in fighting for your rights as an artist. If you are a new to the movie business then its in your best interest to become a part of this organization.

Who has The Power In Hollywood

Image via Wikipedia The movie industry is big business. The question is who really has the power in Hollywood the movie producers, directors, or writers. Well, that's a question I don't think anyone really has the answer too, but from what I've seen the writers hold a large part of the power, because without the story their is no movie to make. But, then on the flip side the producers are important, because they put all things together to make the movie become a reality. A director makes everyone carry out the vision of the project for example, Avatar wouldn't of came out right with out James Cameron directing the movie the way he did. I truly believe all play an integrate role in Hollywood.

Do you have an idea for a movie? Well I know I do many people have great movie ideas in their head but never move on them to make them a script for a movie. The steps for turning a idea into a movie script is not as difficult as it may seem. Turning a movie script into a movie is whats difficult the producing bringing things into to reality. The first thing you should do, is write the story for the idea that you have, and once you have gotten the story written then you want to look for a script writer. After that the script writer can take the story and begin to turn it into the lines into the characters for the movie you know the speaking parts etc.

Harry Potter Deathly Hollows

I was really thinking I was going to get my moneys worth but walked out tired and sleepy from the movie being almost two hours long. Harry Potter and his usual cast of suspects seem to not bring a real good story across the screen. I felt like the movie was a slick love story than a tales of mystery and suspense.

Harry Potter is cool to see if you ain't got nothing else to do on a Saturday.. lol

I saw the movie Unstoppable yesterday starring Denzel Washington. The movie was really well put together film by the producer and director. A run away train story with a small town pitch has won me over and movie goers a like. I think Denzel played a real simple down to earth guy who had was set to get his pink slip after working twenty eight years as a railroad conductor until the a train runaway a got lost on the tracks.

This is a hell of a movie full of emotion that you can really feel through out the whole story.

Cover via Amazon The Movie For Colored Girls open last week and it has the African American community talking like crazy. Tyler Perry has managed to touch the hearts and souls of many folks in the black community. The Movie starring Janet Jackson Whopi Goldberg and host of others brought to light the struggle of the blackwomen in America. This movie deals with each women being a certain color which was a reflection of their personality type. Janet Jackson was very cold and distant with the men she was dating, and while other actress played roles of being the whore etc.

The movie is also getting mixed reviews from the black male community who says that once again black men are being shown in a sterotypical way from being the pimp, rapist, and child molester etc. Mr. Courtland Milloy a writer for the Washington Post commented on Tyler Perrys movie as being "as showing the blackman in a negative light" Tyler Perry has been able to get out a wide range of movies in Hollywood that deals the black communities story. I think this is a movie that will have alot of people talking at the coffee table.
